University Language Centre

Italian courses run from October to December (first semester) and from March to May (second semester), twice a week, for a total of 40 hours.

In order to access the various classes (levels A2, B1, B2, C1), a compulsory placement test is required to assess students' language skills and determine the best path for learning and improving their Italian.

To take the placement test, students must register by filling out the form, available from 12 January to 19 February 2026, at the following link: https://forms.office.com/e/KPchL6mBk1?origin=lpr.

The placement test will take place in person at the CLA on Wednesday 25 February at 9:00 a.m. and will consist of a computer-based section followed by a short interview with each student.

Level A1 exercises are only available in self-learning mode on the university platform called UNISTUDIUM.

ITALIAN LANGUAGE PRACTICE

Italian language courses take place from OCTOBER to DECEMBER (first semester) and from MARCH to MAY (second semester).

They last 40 hours and include two hours of practice two days a week at CLA.

The practical sessions aim to meet the linguistic, communicative and motivational needs of students, offering activities and materials to develop the four language skills: understanding, speaking, reading and writing. At the end of all Italian language courses, final tests are administered in order to verify and evaluate the achievement of the objectives set out in the CEFR - Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

As part of the Italian language exercises, educational activities are also planned to discover and deepen knowledge of the cultural and historical-artistic background, including typical products and local companies of Umbria Region.
