The Italian language courses organized at the CLA (University Linguistic Center) are intended for foreign students enrolled at the University of Perugia: students attending degree courses, Masters, PhDs at the various Departments.
INTENSIVE COURSES OF ITALIAN - SEPTEMBER AND FEBRUARY
Intensive Italian language courses are held in September and February, from Monday to Friday, reserved for newly arrived students in Perugia.

- First semester Course (1 February – 31 July) and September course (1 September – 31 December)
STUDENTS WHO ALREADY HAVE A UNIPG ACCOUNT WILL FIND THE COURSE ON UNISTUDIUM and to access the lessons must only log in with their UNIPG user and password.
ONLY FOR STUDENTS WITH NO UNIPG ACCOUNT YET
Students who are not yet enrolled at UNIPG and therefore do not yet have an account must contact the international relations office to get a temporary account to use to access the course, which will be on a special Unistudium platform where they will find course A1 (contact e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. Students who already have a UNIPG account will find the course on the Unistudium platform (to find the course search “CORSO DI LINGUA ITALIANA A1”).
At the end of The A1 Course students will partecipate the first scheduled Placement test at CLA in order to be placed in the A2 course. If students do not reach the minimum level to participate in the A2 level lessons, they will not be admitted to the course.
The A1 course won’t grant any credits or attendance certificate.
I AND II SEMESTER ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSES AND WORKSHOPS
In the first semester (from October to December) and in the second semester (from March to May) there are extensive courses and specific Italian language workshops, once/twice a week.
The language courses, preparatory to the attendance of the lessons that take place in the departments, have a total duration of 50 hours of lessons: 35 hours of online lessons, and 15 hours of online self-study.The courses aim to respond to the linguistic, communicative and motivational needs of students, proposing activities and materials that help develop the four language skills: understanding, speaking, reading and writing.
At the end of all Italian language courses, final tests are administered in order to verify and evaluate the achievement of the objectives set by the CEFR - Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.As part of the language courses, whenever possible, educational activities are also provided in the Umbrian territory to discover and deepen the knowledge about Umbria and its culture, art, history and typical local business.
